2007 - 2008 Region 5 Management Team
In the form of governance of team management, the Regional Management Team (RMT) works together to provide Regional services to the membership. All Team members are equal in their level of responsibility. The "higher authority" is the International Board of Directors (IBOD), with all 8 team members answering equally to the IBOD.
The Midwest Gateway Region 5 Management Team acts as a conduit between the International Organization and Region 5 members in order to provide education in the most effective manner. The RMT meets 3-4 times a year to deal with planning and policy matters, but communication between Team members takes place by phone, fax and e-mail on a regular basis.
Some of the RMT's objectives are to:
- Oversee all activities of the Region
- Ensure open communication at all levels
- Assess the educational needs and plan programs to meet those needs
- Provide counseling to Chapters within the Region
- Monitor Chapter compliance with Corporate and Regional By-laws, Policies and Procedures
- Develop long-range plans based on the goals and core values of the Region
- Oversee and evaluate the implementation of Regional strategies to meet long-range plans
- Perform administrative functions as delegated by the International Board of Directors
